A Latvian forestry-equipment repairer investigated a diesel harvester that intermittently lost one cylinder during cutting and loading operations. The engine often ran normally in the workshop, and the affected injector passed hydraulic bench testing.
The fault appeared mainly when the machine experienced continuous vibration and chassis movement. This directed the diagnosis toward connector terminal retention, harness movement, and voltage drop under dynamic conditions.
