Quarry equipment in Algeria may work under high ambient temperatures, heavy dust and sustained engine load. When an excavator, loader or crusher engine operates normally after a cold start but loses power after warming up, diesel injectors are often among the first components considered.
If bench testing shows normal injection quantity, return flow, sealing and electrical response, the low-pressure supply circuit requires closer attention. Heat can change hose flexibility, fuel viscosity, seal behaviour and filter restriction, allowing a fault to become visible only after extended operation.
Possible heat-related supply restrictions include:
A machine may receive enough fuel at idle but not enough during high-load quarry work.
A vacuum measurement between the tank and primary filter can reveal restriction in the tank pickup, hose, valve or breather.
The reading should be recorded when the engine is cold and again when the reported power-loss condition appears.
A second measurement between the filter and high-pressure pump helps determine whether restriction is developing across the filter element or downstream hose.
A filter that looks clean externally may still have significant internal restriction.
Where suitable test points are available, pressure should be compared at the filter inlet and outlet under increasing engine load.
The filter reference must also be verified. A replacement element may fit the housing while providing unsuitable flow capacity, filtration characteristics or seal dimensions.
Repairers should inspect whether the filter gasket is seated correctly and whether an internal bypass path exists.
Air can enter the suction circuit without producing an obvious external fuel leak.

Temporary transparent test lines may help identify bubbles, but permanent installation should use fuel-compatible components suitable for temperature, vacuum and vibration.
Injector correction values and return-flow data should be reviewed together with actual rail pressure and low-pressure supply.
If all cylinders are affected at the same time and rail pressure falls as inlet vacuum rises, the fault may be upstream of the injectors.
An injector test report remains useful, but it should include test pressure, pulse width, fluid temperature and measured values.
Filters, hoses and seals should be selected using the engine model, fuel-system design, required flow, operating temperature and material compatibility.
The same principle applies to injectors: complete OE number, engine serial number and coding requirements remain necessary.

Inlet vacuum, filter differential pressure, air-entry checks and rail-pressure data provide a clearer view of the complete fuel path. A normal injector cannot deliver correctly when the high-pressure pump is not receiving a stable supply of fuel.
