Rough idle in a heavy truck may appear as unstable engine speed, cab vibration, uneven exhaust sound, or an active fault indicator while the vehicle is parked, loading, or waiting. For long-haul and regional delivery fleets, the problem may affect driver comfort and can also indicate an early fuel-system, air-system, electrical, or mechanical issue.
